They have a very flat hierarchical structure which means that they do not have many layers of management. They built their office to be a very functional base rather than luxurious and this thinking allows them to be able to make travel affordable to their passengers.
When working in the office they are encouraged to dress casually as it is more functional and they behave as themselves rather than someone else hidden behind a suit. They banned ties to be worn in the offices and now the only people who wear ties are cabin crew and pilots who want to as part of their uniform.
Easyjet is a fun place to work at and at the same time progressive allowing employees to have a very good career there if they enjoy working hard in a fast paced environment.
Easyjet also have a Graduate program which allows the Graduate up to 2 years of learning the different business areas. Graduates can learn all areas of the business, learning from people in the industry and working on new and ambitious projects.
When you apply for a role at Easyjet you apply online and attach an up to date CV. You will then be invited to do a number of online ability tests and personality profiles. Once these have been accepted your CV will be screened again and then if successful you will be invited to a Assessment Centre day.
It is a very rigorous process and tough interview process however they do not have a high staff turnover and promote from within so a good career place to be.
