Job Description
Position: Payroll Administrator
Salary: £22,000-£25,000 (DOE)
Location: Gloucester
Type: Permanent (with 2 days hybrid after probation).
The Opportunity
A large prestigious engineering company with offices based nationwide are recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to be based in their Gloucester office. This position will play a key role by providing administrative and financial support across the division. The suitable candidate should have a minimum of 2 year's experience within a similar position. This is a great role for someone who has good technical skills combined with the ability to communicate with all levels of company staff. Attention to detail is key in this role.
There is the possibility, for the right candidate, of slightly reduced hours if this helps with childcare or personal circumstances etc.
Role Responsibilities
Checking all time sheets throughout the company including identifying errors and missing documentation
Data entry all non-salaried time sheets onto in-house system and produce required information to payroll dept
Flag any queries or anomalies relating to pay to line managers, seeking advice from relevant HR personnel
Responsible for making sure all new starters supply correct information and supply documentation required
Carry out right to work checks in line with company procedures and employment law
Produce annual holiday leave entitlements and holiday reports for management
Forwarding requests for employee information to central HR team and assisting when required
Providing administrative support regarding occupational health issues
Role Requirements
Previous experience with payroll will be advantageous
At least 2 years work experience in a data entry or finance role
Computer Literate – Excel, Word & Outlook
Excellent communicator, both verbally and written, with all levels of staff
Accuracy and attention to detail is paramount
Good organisation and time management skills
Collaborative in approach and committed to team working
