Job Description
An opportunity has arisen within Victory Leisure Homes, for a Cost Accountant to join their medium sized team based at their Gilberdyke site.
The successful applicant will ideally have an investigative attitude and not be afraid of change. Able to challenge the ‘status quo’ and able to assist with the delivery of a more robust process within a fast moving high growth organisation. Confident with a high attention to detail, ideally come from a manufacturing background, organised and be an excellent communicator.
The Role:
* Complete Full Product Costings of Units
* Verification of the Bill of Materials
* Build on the existing systems and procedures to implement improvements in the business
* Assist with the quarterly stock takes
* Monitor production efficiencies and provide analysis of variances
* Preparation of VAT Calculations for new products
* Provide input into the development of IT projects
To be successful in this role you will:
* Be a confident communicator
* Possess a high level of attention to detail and be able to work off your own imitative
* Have strong costings experience in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of Bill of Materials is key, ideally with a high volume of component
* Have strong problem solving skills and an investigative mind
* A capable user of accountancy packages and have strong excel skills
* AAT, ACCA, CIMA part/fully qualified would be an advantage but is not essential however experience in a similar role is a must
