You can however prepare a couple of questions beforehand and I would definitely recommend this in case your mind goes blank in the interview then at least hopefully you will remember the ones that you have pre prepared.
You can pre prepare these questions by reading the job description thoroughly and also from the research that you have done on the company before hand.
Some example questions could be:
- How many people are there in the company?
- How many people is there is the team, where does the position I am being interviewed for sit within the company?
- What do you like about the company? (You can ask this as long as you aren’t being interviewed by the boss).
- Does the company have any future expansion plans?
- How would you describe a typical day/ week in the role?
During the interview you will come up with other things that you would like to know so make sure you make a mental note to remember them and ask that first when asked so that you don’t forget it.
By asking questions you are showing your interviewer that you are interested in what they have to say and about the company and that you have been listening during your interview, all important things when you are trying to create a good impression.
If you are being interviewed by more than one person you could try and direct a question to each person if you are able to, that shows that you are interested in both of them and what they have had to say.
Just remember that you must always ask questions so please prepare this beforehand.
