How long have you worked for the company? Did you start in the position you have now? If not, how did you find the pace at which your career progressed?
Do you enjoy working here? Is there anything that you don’t like about working here? Do you envisage staying here for the rest of your career?
Would you recommend this company to family and friends if they wanted a career?
Would you recommend this company to family and friends if you didn’t work here?
What is your employee turnover like? How many people leave per year?
What kind of training programs do you have? Do you offer the chance to study alongside work for vocational qualifications? Are those paid for by the company? Is there any scope for career progression beyond this post? Are promotions offered in house first before external advertising?
Why has this position become available? How long had the previous employee carried out the post? Was there any reason for them leaving?
Will I be working as part of a team, or mostly alone? Who will my boss be? Is it possible to meet them before I leave the interview?
What will my main duties and responsibilities be? Are there any aspects of this that you think I might find difficult?
Are my hours set as stated in the job posting, or it is possible they may change in future? Would it help you if I could work different shifts? Is there possibly overtime? What about bank holidays?
When would I be expected to start if I am offered the position?
Would there be any scope for working from home? Might I have to relocate? Is it likely my place of employment will remain the same, or in the same area?
What employee benefits are there? Will I receive a pension? What is my holiday allowance? Are my breaks paid? What provision do you have for parking? Do you have a car share or cycle scheme?
Is there much travel involved in the position? Are expenses covered when I have to travel?
